STEM Squad Profile: Lucie Descamps

I’m a PhD candidate in Neuroscience at the Kavli Institute in Trondheim, Norway with a BSc in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience, and a MSc in Neuroscience.

I have an interest in mechanisms of memory consolidation: more precisely I am investigating how the Anterior Cingulate Cortex in mice can retain object-related memories on the long term.

I joined the STEM squad to find a supportive network of scientists that face the same challenges as me as a womxn in science!

When not in the lab, I like to explore and go on adventures with my partner, and I’m also avid of aerial arts like pole dancing and aerial hoop!
